The developer of LockScreenNotes ("we," "us," or "our") handles the personal information of people who register to publish designs in "Creator Notes" (the "Service") (each a "Creator") in accordance with this Privacy Policy (the "Policy").

How we handle information about users of the LockScreenNotes app is set out in the LockScreenNotes Privacy Policy.

This Policy is written in Japanese and English. If the two versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information about Creators:

• Email address
• Username, display name, profile bio, icon, and links such as social media
• Your display language setting
• Your declaration that you meet the registration conditions (such as age), and the date and time you agreed to the terms
• Information you register in the Service, such as uploaded images, Designs you create, and Note Set names, descriptions, and translations
• Records of actions such as review, publication, and suspension
• The content of your communications with us (inquiries, documents showing your rights, and so on)
• Technical information when you sign in or take actions, such as IP address, browser information (user agent), and cookies

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

1. verify your identity, let you sign in, and manage your account;
2. review Materials and publish them in the App and on public pages;
3. contact you about review results, changes to the Service, changes to the terms, and so on;
4. respond to infringement claims and reports, and to violations of the terms;
5. prevent misuse and keep the Service secure;
6. improve the Service and analyze how it is used;
7. respond to inquiries; and
8. introduce and promote the Service and the App (only to the extent permitted by the Creator Notes Terms).

3. Information That Is Made Public

Your username, display name, profile bio, icon, links such as social media, and the Note Sets and Designs you publish are visible to anyone in the App and on our websites. We do not make your email address public.

Within the scope licensed under the Creator Notes Terms, we may also feature the Note Sets and Designs you publish on our official social media accounts, in app stores, in advertising, and elsewhere, and may show your username or display name alongside them.

Published information may appear in search engine results or be reposted by third parties. Even after you end publication or delete your account, we cannot guarantee the removal of search engine caches or third-party reposts that are beyond our control.

4. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not provide Creators' personal information to third parties except:

1. with the Creator's consent;
2. as required by law, or when a court, government authority, or similar body makes a request under law;
3. when necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the Creator's consent;
4. when the business relating to the Service is succeeded to through a business transfer, company split, or other event; or
5. when we entrust handling as described in section 5.

5. Entrusting Handling and Storage Outside Japan

We may entrust tasks needed to operate the Service, such as data storage and sending email, to providers such as cloud services. These include providers outside Japan, and information may be stored and processed on servers in other countries. We choose providers that have systems in place meeting the standards of Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and supervise them as necessary and appropriate so that they handle personal information properly.

If you contact us at the address in section 10, we will promptly tell you the names of the countries where the providers are located or where information is stored, the personal information protection systems of those countries, and the measures the providers take.

6. Retention

We keep Creators' information until the account is deleted.

When an account is deleted, we immediately delete the email address, profile, and materials such as uploaded images and designs. However, the username, records of review, suspension, and responses to claims, records of agreement to the terms, and the content of communications with us are kept for three years after the account is deleted, to respond to infringement claims and disputes, prevent misuse, and comply with law, and are then deleted.

7. Security

We take necessary and appropriate security measures, such as access controls, to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information. If you contact us at the address in section 10, we will tell you the specific measures we take without delay.

8. Cookies

The Service's creator dashboard uses cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.

9. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, and More

Creators can view and change much of their registered information in the creator dashboard, and can also delete their account. To request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, or other action regarding personal information we hold, please contact us at the address in section 10. We will verify your identity and respond in accordance with law.

11. Changes to This Policy
